How do i know what theyre saying is true?

i have been reading a lot lately - from career builder, andeven everytime online to apply for jobs a website for schools open up -boy speaking of hardsell.. that theyre encouraging people to go back to school to equip themselves with knowledge... (esp now that people have been laid off their jobs, or even the students still in school they say that medical field, teaching field, paralegal, border patrol, etc. but, i have also been hearing that even new grads are having a hard time finding a job (somewhere here an IT grad is looking for data entry job?) so who's telling the truth? i am currently working as a clerk ( i have a bachelors degree, however, i got my job years ago, i had to accept this job (underemplyd) bec. i needed one asap, and got stuck with it. i have co workers who are not even high school grads and theyre getting paid more than i do. im planning to enroll in oc. degree but how do i know i'll have a job afterwards. are the labor statistics online (bureau of labor & statistics) findings even reliable?
