I have an Epson 650 camera, and a new toshiba nb with windows vista. I can't download my pics. win98 would hlp

when i plug the compact flash usb cardholder into the usb port win vista doesn't even aknowledge new device. If it's not supported by vista what can I do? I really like my epson650 camera.
