Why is radiator fluid leaking from, what i believe is my oil pan gasket or my water pump?

I think I need the schematics to the engine of my 1989 Chevy Astro V6 engine. Where can I find one online for free? I had to disconnect my oil coolient hoses from the oil filter. NOW, I have a leak. I did plug off the sockets that are connected to the oil filter though. Will a waterpump leak before going bad?
