Core 2 duo vs Core 2 duo Extreme?

I just bought a core 2 duo t9500 for my inspiron 1525 it is 2.6Ghz/800mhz FSB/6mb L2cache, but i also saw that i could use a Core 2 Extreme x9000 that one has 2.8Ghz/800mhz FZB/6mb L2 cache as well... Theyre both dual core cpu's and they have the same cache and same front bus speed, beseide the clock small clock speed difference, is there something more special about the core 2 extremes? i know that you can overclock the core 2 extreme to whatever you like, but is there some other internal difference that makes it worth the extra 200-300 bucks?
