What are some good mature vampire books?

I'm 18 and recently became very infatuated with vampires. I read the twilight series simply because my sister was reading them as well. Although i some what enjoyed reading it, i want to read something more geared towards adults. I don't mind scenes but i prefer that it doesn't include that. I want a book with a darker plot than twilight but has to still have romance. Any recommendations?
