Why is everybody saying the spice girls are old when Jennifer Lopez is almost 40 but its OK for her to sing?

Come on the youngest spice girls is 31 and fergie is out there singing fergilicious and she's like 35. is it that people just dont like the spice girls? the girls are young and fit, its not like they're 550 pounds over weight!
