Harvest Moon ToT right side of quilt?

OK, so i already sold 500g worth of things and Mayor Hamilton came and talked to me about the quilt. after that i got my house upgraded to second level. it hasnt been the second day since i paid for the upgrade so it hasnt changed yet; i tried talking to gill but he doesnt say anything about the clock tower or quilt or dale. what do i do?
